We will try our best to make things happen! Submissions for 2025 are open from 1 Feb 2025 to 31 March 2025.
What happens after you submit the form
We’ll collect expressions of interest until the end of March and then we’ll review all of them to work out what fits best with constraints like the schedule, space, ticketing etc. We try to accommodate as many ideas as possible because our attendees love in-con events! In some cases we may request you to tailor some aspects of your event to make it work as an in-con event, we will reach out if we need more information.
Once we have shortlisted the events, we will prepare the event schedule and allocate a time and location for the event. We will notify you and make sure the time slot works for you. Once that is all locked in, we will release event tickets alongside the main Wellycon tickets. Wellycon will handle all the registration for events through the official ticketing platform. We can provide you a list of attendees if you want to get in touch with them ahead of time.
Things to know about running an event
Wellycon is run entirely by volunteers. As an event host you will receive our volunteer package which gives you a free weekend pass for contributing 3 hours or more of your time to Wellycon. You will also be invited to Volunteers Night on the setup day before the event for a chance to connect with other volunteers and early access to the Play-to-Win library! We will send out the ticket promo code and other details closer to ticket release day.
Running an event is an exciting way to get involved. Most events are sold out within a few hours of ticket release and attendees often sign up for multiple events. To ensure the best experience for our attendees, we request that you run your event timely and finish up within the allocated time.
If you need support with anything related to your event, don't hesitate to ask. As we get closer to the convention, we will also set up a WhatsApp community group for Events where we can share information and support each other.
